There will be "mini-reunions" aplenty at Reunion Homecoming Weekend: of dorms and Dollies, of KZSU and the Stanford Daily, of a cappella singers and Hum Bio majors, of students who studied at campuses abroad or were active with the Haas Center or Stanford Pride. It all begins today.

Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for the New York Times, came to Stanford this week to talk about her world and "the basic archaeology of clothes." Her visit was part of the Arts Critics in Residence Series presented by the
Humanities Center and the Institute for Creativity and
the Arts.

Professor Hannah Valantine, senior associate dean for diversity and leadership at the Medical School, has been awarded a $2 million, three-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to explore new ways of helping female faculty overcome a phenomenon known as "stereotype threat."
