Waiting for Superman: Don't look for easy answers

Following a campus screening of the controversial film Waiting for Superman Monday evening, a panel of educators offered nuanced answers for the nation's educational plight. "What we are looking for is how to build a system that will work for all kids," education Professor Linda Darling-Hammond said.

School of Engineering dedicates new Huang Center

The Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center, which was dedicated Tuesday, will provide a new home for the School of Engineering and an academic and social destination for students and faculty in science, engineering and medicine. It is named for alumnus and NVIDIA co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang.

Undergraduate admission, financial aid on Senate agenda

On Thursday, at the first Faculty Senate meeting of the academic year, Professor Tom Wasow, left, will present the annual report of the Committee on Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid. Richard Shaw, dean of undergraduate admission and financial aid, also will present a report.
