Postdocs and their families feted during annual event

Stanford celebrated National Postdoc Appreciation Day last week with a barbecue for postdoctoral scholars and their families in the Bechtel International Center courtyard. The annual event was launched in 2009 by the National Postdoctoral Association, an advocacy group based in D.C.

NRC releases assessment of research doctoral programs

The National Research Council (NRC) has released its long-awaited assessment of research doctoral programs, including ratings of 47 of Stanford's doctoral programs. The new study uses a complex methodology and statistical analysis to measure what NRC considers to be indicators of program quality.

University launches student health, wellness program

The BeWell@Stanford Student Wellness Passport Program, which kicks off on Oct. 1, will help students assess their current lifestyles while encouraging and rewarding them to make better, healthier choices. The program is sponsored by BeWell and Vaden’s Health Promotion Services.
