Community awards recognize three local organizations

Campus update about area PG&E natural gas pipelines

Larry Gibbs, associate vice president for environmental health and safety, and other members of the university administration have been meeting with officials from PG&E about the safety of natural gas pipelines in the Stanford area. Gibbs updates the campus on those discussions.

Former VP of medical affairs, Lawrence Crowley, dies at 91

Lawrence Crowley, who laid the groundwork for the building of the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and an expansion of the Stanford Hospital, has died at 91. A memorial service will be held for him at 3 p.m. on April 21 in Memorial Church.

  • Psychology at Stanford: The Stanford Historical Society will sponsor a talk by Al Hastorf, the Benjamin Scott Crocker Professor of Human Biology, Professor of Psychology and, by courtesy, in the Graduate School of Business, Emeritus, on April 21 at 5:30 p.m. in Kissick Auditorium in the Arrillaga Family Sports Center. Hastorf will talk about the history of psychology at Stanford.
