Student leaders share their concerns with Faculty Senate

A trio of student leaders took the floor of the Faculty Senate Thursday and made brief presentations on issues of concern on campus, including academic advising, sexual misconduct and relationship abuse, and the need for an additional assistant dean in the Graduate Life Office.

Memorial set for Suvan Gerlach, Engineering School staffer

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m. in Memorial Church for Suvan Gerlach, who worked at Stanford for more than two decades, most recently as the administrative manager of the Artificial Intelligence Lab. A reception will follow in the Gates building.

It may have taken Stanford time to fully embrace its Jewish community, but today it boasts some of the best Jewish library collections, academic programs and student activities. History Professor Steven Zipperstein was one of the speakers at a recent forum on Jewish life at Stanford.
