If you missed the 2014 Stanford Roundtable, titled “The Climate Conversation You Haven’t Heard,” you’ll have an opportunity to do so on Sunday, April 19 at 1 p.m. on KQED Television. LESLIE STAHL, correspondent for 60 Minutes, moderated the discussion featuring global leaders on one of the most compelling issues of our time.

Panelists included BINA VENKATARAMAN, former senior adviser for climate change innovation in the Executive Office of the President; JB STRAUBEL, co-founder of Tesla; TOM STEYER, president of Next Generation, an organization that acts politically to prevent climate disaster and preserve American prosperity; GEORGE SHULTZ, former U.S. secretary of state and distinguished fellow at the Hoover Institution; ALVARO UMAÑA, senior research fellow at the Tropical Agriculture Research and Higher Education Center in Costa Rica; and CHRISTOPHER FIELD, founding director of the Carnegie Institution’s Department of Global Ecology and co-chair of Working Group II of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The event, which took place in conjunction with Stanford’s Reunion Homecoming Weekend, was taped last October, but the conversation still resonates.
