Stanford represented at national Rubik’s Cube competition

Stanford is well represented in Hilton Head, South Carolina, this weekend at the 2015 U.S. National Rubik’s Cube Championships

Two-time national champion WESTON MIZUMOTO, a senior studying computer science at Stanford, is among the hundreds of speed cubers who are there to compete. He told the Island Packet, a local newspaper that covers the South Carolina low country, that it took four years for him to become one of the world’s best at one-hand solving.

VINCENT SHEU, a graduate student pursuing degrees in computer science and in law, is one of the event’s organizers. You can see him on the Packet’s video.
