Welcome to the website of the
Stanford - National
Geographic Pterosaur Replica Project
The aim of the project is to build a full-scale, realistic, flyable
replica pterosaur based on a fossil uncovered in Africa
by Chicago-based paleontologist Paul Sereno. A team
of university professors, students, and industry professionals are
working together on this very challenging project. The project is
sponsored by Stanford
University, National
Geographic Society and Television, and private donors. It will feature in
a National Geographic film on pterosaurs and pterosaur flight, due to air
in 2006.
