Fellowships

Levison Leadership Fellowship
Learn about leadership and social justice through a Jewish lens in an intimate setting. To apply to be part of this unique, stipended fellowship, contact Heather Paul at hpaul@stanford.edu. In honor of Robert Levison Jr. '40, z"ll.

Maimonides Fellowship
Students participate in 2.5 – 3 hours per week of in depth Jewish learning with Rabbi Kamin, who has an office in the Koret Pavilion as a partnership with the Jewish Study Network and Me'Or.  This is an opportunity to explore traditional Judaism in a dynamic environment. Students are introduced to classical Jewish philosophy, the relevance of Jewish wisdom to contemporary issues.  Email Rabbi Kamin rabbik@stanford.edu

Shultz Fellowship for Modern Israel Studies
George and Charlotte Shultz Fellowship in Modern Israel Studies supports student research on issues relevant to modern Israel and the betterment of Israeli-Arab relations. Each year, Hillel at Stanford will award a $5,000 fellowship to a Stanford student to conduct research pertaining to modern Israeli politics, culture, society, and economy, and/or the betterment of Israeli-Arab relations (including Israeli-Palestinian relations). Internships and Jobs

Assistant Director for Programs
At Hillel@Stanford, we’re looking for a dynamic, creative and knowledgeable assistant director to engage our student leaders, supervise program staff, and ensure the administrative success of our exciting initiatives at Stanford University. S/he will be responsible for developing one-on-one relationships with Jewish students by meeting them where they live, work and/or study and utilizing creative methods to engage them through student-initiated programs. The assistant director will ensure meaningful and diverse opportunities for Jewish expression, and consistently promote a welcoming and lively pluralistic Jewish community. Ask Big Questions Fellowship Coordinator
Hillel is seeking a passionate and compassionate leader who is interested in partnering with Hillel Staff to envision and implement Ask Big Questions in its pilot year on our campus. Ask Big Questions, a program that was recently featured in a New York Times article about education outside the classroom, brings diverse college students together for conversations that help people understand themselves and others. ABQ Fellows will learn how to facilitate conversations about life’s big questions and will lead these discussions with other campus faith and cultural centers. Biblical Garden Caretaker
Are you interested in gardening, sustainability, or ecology from a Jewish perspective? Hillel is seeking a green thumbed gardener to care for our Biblical Garden and to assist Hillel staff in designing and implementing fun programming with a focus on Jewish ecology. Publicity Intern
Hillel is seeking a publicity intern to help with social media publicity, weekly newsletters, and flyer design. Compensation: $10/hour, 35 hours per week. Contact: Danielle Tucker, dttucker@stanford.edu 

Design Jewish Interns
Are you interested in social entrepreneurship, innovation and design? Or working with other students to create new Jewish social justice initiatives? Or to design out of the box, DIY Jewish experiences? Hillel at Stanford is seeking a design team leader to envision and implement our design program in its pilot year. Hillel Art Gallery Intern
Are you interested in art, museums, galleries, and curation? Hillel is seeking an art gallery intern to help us turn our building into a student art space, with rotating exhibits featuring student work. Beit Midrash Jewish Learning Coordinator
Hillel is beginning a weekly learning program called Beit Midrash this year. Assist Hillel staff in envisioning and implementing ideas for this program, which will include regular learning sessions with visiting scholars and educators.
