Volunteer

Current students enjoy hearing about Stanford alumni experiences while on the Farm and post-graduation. At BEAM, we offer many ways to get involved.

SAM mentoring

Advise or Mentor

We want every student to be supported by a trusted ‘Board of Advisors' or mentors that they can turn to for advice and guidance during their Stanford experience. From flash connections and quick advice, to deeper long-term advice and guidance, we'd love to have you sign up to be a valued mentor with SAM!

volunteering at an event

Volunteer in Person

From basic resume review to practice interviews, expert panel participation, or speed networking events, there are many opportunities to connect with students and help guide their journey towards meaningful work. If you'd like to volunteer, email career-catalysts@lists.stanford.edu

video conferencing

Volunteer Virtually

With technology at our fingertips and students on the move, we offer ways to volunteer to accommodate flexible schedules. You can provide insights through virtual mentoring via video conferencing or meet students from your area, when they're home for school breaks.

Other Ways

At minimum, be sure to join the Stanford Alumni LinkedIn group. We encourage our students to ping alumni they want to learn more from so be sure to respond when you receive their request to connect! We are continually designing new ways to connect, so let us know if you would like to try new things alongside us!
