Limited parking enforcement during the holiday

During winter closure, on-campus parking will be enforced primarily in parking facilities serving the hospitals and School of Medicine, residential lots and special parking designations.

Parking enforcement:  Unless otherwise posted, parking permit enforcement during the winter break (Dec. 21 through Jan. 1) will be suspended in all 'C' parking lots, most visitor spaces, and in most 'A' lots, with the exception of parking facilities serving the hospital and School of Medicine. 'A' parking spaces, visitor spaces, Service/University Vehicle spaces and timed loading zones/spaces will be enforced during the holiday closure as follows.

These parking areas will be enforced during winter break:

  • Quarry Lot (L-2)
  • Quarry Lot South (L-3)
  • Quarry Extension Lot (L-9)
  • Beckman/LKSC visitor Lot (L-15)
  • MSOB Lot (L-16)
  • Stock Farm Lot (L-18 )
  • Roth Way Garage (Campus Drive and Roth Way)
  • 780/800 Welch Road Lot

Parking restrictions in residential lots (except shared lots) and special zones, such as disabled parking, red zones, fire lanes and "Special Permit" spaces, are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please refer to our Parking and Circulation Map (PDF) for parking locations and designations.

Commuters wishing to cancel their annual or academic year parking permits as of January must return their parking permits by Dec. 18 before 12 p.m. to avoid being charged for the month of January. Those returning a permit in December may request a courtesy temporary permit for the remainder of the month.

Parking structure cleaning: Hoover Pavilion Garage will be cleaned at night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the following dates: Dec. 21, Dec. 22, Dec. 23, Dec. 28, Dec. 29 and Dec. 30. The garage will remain open during cleaning. However, drivers should expect a floor closure on each one of these dates and times, starting from the top.
