Request for Applications

State Fiscal Stabilization Fund

Note: The due date for the request for applications has passed. This page is for reference and administration of funding.

The State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (SFSF) is intended to avert layoffs of teachers, professors, and other personnel and to further education reform in the key areas of teacher quality, standards and assessments, using longitudinal data to improve instruction, and supporting struggling schools.

This application is also being used for Education Jobs (Ed Jobs) Funds. Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) that have applied for a SFSF grant will automatically be eligible for an Ed Jobs Fund grant and need not submit a separate application. LEAs that have not applied for an SFSF grant (including new direct funded charter schools or charter schools that have changed their fund type from local to direct since 2008-09) can apply for Ed Jobs Funds by completing the SFSF application.
