Ram's Head Theatrical Society is hosting a public, FREE LECTURE by S...tanford Professor Jim Steichen at 6:30 pm in Pigott (aka Little Theater) in conjunction with the musical "The Wild Party" by Andrew Lippa. We will reserve prime seating for attendees so that all alumni can sit together. Tickets for the show can be purchased with a young alumni discount of $20 ($25 general admission) this link: http://musical.stanford.edu/ in Memorial Auditorium, 8pm. Note: this show is not appropriate for children and is rated R. Queenie, a showgirl during the Jazz Age, has grown tired and resentful of her relationship with a clown named Burrs. To get back into the swing of things (and to get back at the violent Burrs), she decides to throw a party. As their friends start to tumble in and the booze flows freely, the evening turns increasingly dark and decadent until ... a gun goes off. But who exactly has been shot? Tony-nominee Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family, I Am Harvey Milk) wrote the book, lyrics and pulse-racing music for this one-of-a-kind, award-winning show that captures the verve and violence of the Roaring '20s. • Ram's Head Old Fart Update: Former Ram's Head composer, Deborah Wic...ks La Puma is up for an LA Ovation Award tonight for her score to ELEPHANT & PIGGIE'S: WE ARE IN A PLAY! The last Ram's Head musician to be nominated for an LA Ovation Award was Maury McIntyre (for his 2008 musical "Gulls"). Maury is now President of the Television Academy (the organization that presents the Emmy Awards). Fun fact, both Debbie and Maury worked on the Ram's Head production of Into the Woods in which long-running Gaieties star "Milky White" first made her appearance on the Mem Aud stage. See More

Phenomenal production! Great sets, lighting, acting, singing, dancing, staging. Just very well done. Better and bigger than a lot of productions I've seen at San Francisco's A.C.T. and SHN Best of Broadway, and I subscribe to both.

What an impressive production. All the cast and staff have definitely put so much effort and time for creating the show. It was breathtaking.

Ram’s Head’s Committee on Representation and Diversity is launching something new!

Do you ever wish there were more plays that tackled issues that are traditionally underrepresented onstage? Do you like to write or have ideas that could some day be made into a play? We're excited to roll out Giving You The Stage — an initiative for the 2018 Original Winter One Acts.

Contact producer Peter Morgan (peter816@stanford.edu) with questions.
