Michelle Eisenreich has enjoyed great success in her three seasons as associate head coach and throws coach at Stanford.

In 2015, javelin thrower Brianna Bain won her fourth consecutive Pac-12 title, sophomore discus thrower Valarie Allman was fifth in the nation, Lena Giger set a Stanford freshman record in the hammer and won the silver medal at the Pan Am Junior Championships, and sophomore javelin thrower Victoria Smith earned her first All-America honor.

In her first three years, Eisenreich has coached five Cardinal to All-America honors, spanning all the throws -- discus, hammer, javelin, and shot put. That number can be six by counting decathlete Harrison Williams, who set a national junior record and finished fourth at the NCAA Championships.

In 2014, Bain won her third All-America honor, Allman was second in the discus at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships and was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and Lucas Rowley shattered personal records in the hammer and discus on the way to earning his first All-America honor, in the hammer.

In 2013, Bain broke her own school record with a Big Meet-winning 183-10, the longest javelin throw by a collegian all season and the second-longest by an American.In addition, senior Alyssa Wisdom, earned her first All-America honor in the shot put and won the Jamaican national championship.

In all, 10 of her throwers occupy spots on Stanford's all-time top 10 lists, including five All-Americans, plus Rebecca Hammar, among the top 10 in three diffierent throws.

Eisenreich's influence has helped ensure Stanford's spot among the nation's top throwing programs.

While Eisenreich was at Brown, the throws program defined itself as the premier squad in the Ivy League. Coach E's throwers earned 51 All-Ivy honors, 30 Ivy titles, and eight school records.

In addition, 15 individuals qualified for the NCAA regional championships, six for the NCAA championships and three earned NCAA All-America honors: Amber Knighten, the 2001 fifth-place finisher in the outdoor shot; Brynn Smith, the 2011 10th-place finisher in the hammer; and Craig Kinsley, a three-time All-America and 2010 NCAA champion in the men's javelin.

Former Brown throwers Bryan Powlen (discus) and Kinsley qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic trials while training under Eisenreich. Kinsley finished third, punching his ticket to the London Olympics where he was the top American thrower and 23rd overall, and Powlen went on to finish 16th. In 2009, Eisenreich's successes were recognized by her peers, who voted her USTFCCCA Men's Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year.

Eisenreich began her coaching career at Purdue as a graduate assistant, coaching multi-event athletes, vaulters and throwers for the women's team. While there, she also directed the Purdue Area Track Club for athletes ages 5 to 17. After finishing her graduate degree, Eisenreich moved on to Colgate for two years. She coached athletes to school records in five throwing events, while also coaching the jumpers and serving as the recruiting coordinator.

One of the best throwers ever for Carleton College in her native Minnesota, Eisenreich won five Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and was the 1995 MIAC Outdoor Championships Athlete of the Meet after winning both the shot put and the discus. She set school records in the indoor and outdoor shot put, 20-pound weight throw, hammer, and discus and served as a team captain her senior year. A four-time participant at the NCAAs, she earned All-America honors in the discus.
