STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford wrestler Jim Wilson was voted the #GoStanford Student-Athlete of the Week for his performances last weekend against Oregon State, Menlo College and Brown.

Wilson, a psychology major from Lodi, Calif., went 3-0 on the week, improving his season record to 21-4 overall and to 5-1 in dual competitions.

The reshirt sophomore 165-pounder opened the weekend with a 4-2 decision over Seth Thomas at Oregon State. He was one of four Cardinal to pick up a win against the Beavers on Saturday. On Sunday, Wilson registered two more wins, turning in a 3-2 decision against Menlo's Eric Lopez and a pin over L.J. Remillard of Brown in 2:17.

Wilson is the third Cardinal wrestler to be recognized this season, joining Evan Silver (Nov. 10) and Nathan Butler (Nov. 16). It is his second career honor having also won the award on Feb. 9, 2014.

Stanford plays host to Pac-12 foe Cal Poly at 3 p.m. and Air Force at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18. Both duals will be held in Maples Pavilion and be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.
