CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State rallied for a 7-6 victory over Stanford on Sunday afternoon in the second of a three-game series.

Trailing 5-3, Stanford (14-16, 0-2 Pac-12) responded with three runs in the top of the sixth to take a 6-5 lead. However, Oregon State (21-9, 2-3 Pac-12) tied the game in the home half of the seventh and won it in the eighth.

Kayla Bonstrom homered and drove in four runs, as seven Cardinal players tallied at least one hit.

Haley Snyder worked the first three innings in the circle, allowing three runs – one earned – on five hits, three walks and a strikeout. Kylie Sorenson (2-3) followed with 4.2 innings and was saddled with the loss. Sorenson allowed four runs on eight hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

Stanford is slated to close its series against Oregon State on Monday at 4 p.m., although rain is in the forecast.

Bonstrom gave the Cardinal an early lead when she hit a three-run shot to right field in the top of the first inning. She leads the team with eight home runs, a .457 batting average, 31 RBIs and .840 slugging percentage.

The Beavers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the third to knot the game at 3-3. Oregon State took the lead in the fifth inning when Natalie Hampton hit a two-run home run to right center field.

Stanford responded immediately in the top of the sixth inning, capitalizing on a series of bases-loaded situations. After tying the game at 5-5, Bonstrom delivered a sacrifice fly to give the Cardinal a one-run advantage.

Stanford was unable to secure the win in the bottom of the seventh, permitting the tying run to score and sending the game into extra innings.

Hampton delivered a two-out RBI-single for the Beavers in the bottom of the eighth to earn the walk-off victory.

Stanford will conclude its series at Oregon State on Monday at 4 p.m.
