CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kailee Johnson poured in a career-high 14 points and No. 11 Stanford led by 11 early in the fourth quarter, but No. 12 Oregon State closed the game on a 23-4 run to come away with a 58-50 victory in Gill Coliseum on Sunday night, its first win over the Cardinal since 2001.

Erica McCall returned after missing Friday’s win at Oregon to put in 12 and add eight rebounds. Oregon State’s Deven Hunter led all players in scoring and rebounding, accounting for 19 points, including 5-of-7 on 3-pointers, and 12 rebounds.

Up 46-35 with 7:07 to go, Stanford (14-4, 4-2 Pac-12) went 5:29 without scoring until a Briana Roberson layup stemmed a 17-0 OSU (14-3, 5-1 Pac-12) run with 1:16 remaining. Jamie Weisner, who scored 12 of her 18 in the fourth quarter, made a 3-pointer on the Beavers’ next possession to put her team up 55-48 with 57 seconds left and the game out of reach.

TURNING POINT » That late run was a reversal from the game’s first 33 minutes, which saw Stanford hold Oregon State to 13-of-38 shooting (34.2 percent). Deven Hunter’s layup with 6:45 left sparked the hot finish for the Beavers, as OSU made each of its last seven shots from the floor. While Oregon State was successful eight of its 10 fourth-quarter attempts, Stanford managed to go just 2-of-12. Oregon State was a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc in the final frame, while Stanford misfired on all three of its attempts.

LONG TIME » The loss snapped Stanford’s 29 game-winning streak against Oregon State. The Beavers hadn’t beaten the Cardinal since an 81-65 triumph in Corvallis on Jan. 11, 2001.

FIRST HALF » Oregon State led 12-11 after the first quarter. But when OSU's shooting went cold in the second, Stanford responded and went on an 11-0 run late in the period. The Cardinal went from up three, 19-16, with 7:12 until the break to up 14, 30-16, with 1:40 on the clock. The spurt was punctuated with back-to-back 15-footers from McCall, but was broken when Hunter hit a 3-pointer and Weisner added pullup jumper to narrow the gap to 30-21 at the half.

KJ AT HOME » Portland native Kailee Johnson had the best game of her career, scoring 14 points including a perfect 8-of-8 effort at the line. The junior chipped in five rebounds to go along with her third game with 10 or more points and first since 2013.

ALL-TIME » Sunday was the 60th all-time meeting between Stanford and Oregon State, but just the fifth with both schools ranked in the AP top 25. The Cardinal owns a 53-7 record against the Beavers. The two teams will meet again in Maples Pavilion on the final weekend of the regular season. OSU visits The Farm on Friday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m.
