2016|Case No.E585| Length 15 pgs.

This case tells the growth story of a social impact company delivering solar lighting to the developing world.  The case focuses on how the founders decided to bring on a new CEO to run the company and the ramifications of that decision.

Learning Objective
Students are encouraged to consider how to transition a new CEO into the company to take over from the founders. They should also consider whether this was the right thing for the company and the founders and how the founders should face the obstacles presented to them as a result of this decision. These challenges include how to communicate with employees and what to do when the founders disagree with the new CEO’s decisions.
