Amended per savvy tweeps: Trump does NOT believe standard applies to men and teenagers of color, i.e., the Central Park Five.

Bottom line: Trump is standing with Roy Moore. He, like Hannity, will be obedient to Bannon on this. Child molestation notwithstanding.

Trump's standard for male guilt apparently is: "he says he didn't do it, so I believe him." Applies equally to Roy Moore and Vlad Putin.

My father once said to me regarding Mugabe: "he's a bastard, but he's our bastard," meaning Africans hate autocracy, but they hated colonialism even more. It's all very complicated.

For those unaware, Rhodesia, the colony of breakaway Brits ruling over a nation of Africans from 1965-79 (and a colonial territory since the 1920s), was what Dylan Roof revered in his martydom photos before slaughtering churchgoers at Mother Emanuel.

I remember talking with my father about Mugabe. A lot of Africans were sympathetic to him because he expelled white minority/colonial rule (ditto Qaddafi). Yet he was a dictator who robbed his country blind.

When keeping it revolutionary goes wrong: the complicated history of Robert Mugabe, who took over what was left after the evils of "Rhodesia" receded, and never let go.
