ACES Mission
The ALS Consortium of Epidemiologic Studies (ACES) is a resource for scientists who are conducting or planning to conduct research to identify environmental, lifestyle or genetic factors associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The consortium was established in 2005 by scientists at Stanford University to:
- Provide a methodologic resource for investigators by offering standardized approaches to study protocols and risk factor questionnaire modules.
- Facilitate research collaborations, either as replicate studies or as combined statistical analyses of pooled data across studies.
