Morning Mindfulness Class

Are you a morning person? If you’ve ever wanted to learn to meditate, consider using the quiet time before work to enhance your wellness in a new way.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Morning option

Class description:

It has been known for centuries in the meditative traditions, and now widely accepted in western culture, that the sustained practice of mindfulness meditation can have profound healing and transformative effects on one's life.

This 8-week class is modeled on the program taught at the UMASS Stress Reduction Clinic and will focus on mindfulness meditation to help you gain a new understanding of how stress affects your life, and how life can be lived more fully. Included in the class fee is Full Catastrophe Living, a book by Jon Kabat-Zinn, and a full day retreat on Saturday, August 22.

Instructor: Sarah Meyer, MA, completed her graduate degree in Counseling and Health Psychology from Santa Clara University. She is Manager of Operations for BeWell Advising at Stanford, and has worked as a mindfulness educator, counselor, and coach for over 10 years.
