Geetha Rao, Ph.D., is the CEO of Springborne Life Sciences which has a strategic partnership with The Hayden Group. Dr. Rao has extensive experience in early stage ventures including the formation, organization development, and regulatory and technology strategy. She specifically targets high risk medical device sectors. Prior to joining Springborne, Dr. Rao was President and CEO of Norgren Systems, a drug-discovering instrumentation company. She was also with Exponsent, Inc where she founded the Medical Device Industry Group and later with a firm that provided technology and strategy consulting with John Cabot International. Additionally, she has provided counseling to a number of medical professions as well as the FDA and international organizations. She served on the board of ASQ Northern California Biomedical Discussion Group. Dr. Rao also chairs the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab's Emerging Business Track for Life Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in addition to a masters degree in management from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
