Stephen Salmon is a partner at Latterell Venture Partners, a company founded to invest exclusively in early stage healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, research instrument, biomaterial, medical device, and diagnostic companies. He co-founded Integrated Vascular Systems, Inc. (IVS), Core Medical, Inc., Express Therapeutics, LLC., and Napa Medical Systems, Inc. He has held positions within the research and development ranks of Conmed Corporation, USCI Division of C.R. Bard, Cardiovascular Imaging Systems, Inc. (CVIS), and as the Vice President of IVUS R&D at Boston Scientific Corporation, where he was a member of the Technology Executive Council. He also held the position of Vice President of Operations at IVS. Mr. Salmon also serves in various consulting positions within the medical device start-up community. Among those companies represented are: Venomatrix, Inc., Core Medical, Inc., Amed Systems, Inc. and Napa Medical Systems, Inc. He is also currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Napa Medical Systems, Inc. During his tenure in the medical device business, Steve has authored, or co-authored 18 U.S. patents, with several additional patents pending. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine.
