Lock Cutting Service

Lock won't work, lost your key, can't remember the combination? We can help!

For U-locks

• With your key in place, jiggle the lock and key - if that doesn't work, stop by the shop
• Lock cutting at the bike shop - $15
• Lock cutting on location, Stanford area only - $30
• Discount on any U-lock with lock cutting service - $5
  (Can't be combined with any other discounts.)

For cable locks

• Lock cutting at the bike shop - $10
• Lock cutting on location, Stanford area only - $25

• Locks brought to the bike shop can be removed while you wait.
• On location lock removal requires a phone call to the shop or you can stop on by to schedule a time.
• To get your lock cut you must have a Stanford ID, be present during the cutting, and log into our book of lock cutting records.
• If the bike is of high value, above $200.00, further proof of purchase is required.
• Lock cutting tools can't be loaned out.
• Often, if a lock is jammed, the lock manufacture will refund you the cost of the lock cutting.
