Crossing the Rubicon into Classics Research
The path that Richard Saller, Dean of Humanities and Sciences, has taken in pursuit of history has been anything but conventional. He's switched disciplines many times: originally an engineering major who transferred to history, Saller came to the study of Greek and Latin later in life.
