He is currently a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University. He is also a Director at SC Solutions, Inc. His research has encompassed computer-aided control system design, multivariable robust servomechanism theory, and robust fault detection methods. He is currently interested in robust control theory with applications to semiconductor manufacturing systems. He is the coauthor of the book (with G. F. Franklin and J. D. Powell), Feedback Control of Dynamic Systems, 6th Edition, Prentice-Hall, 2010. Dr. Emami received the IFAC Control Engineering Textbook prize in 1991. He is a member of IEEE, SIAM, Sigma Xi, and Tau Beta Pi. He is the author/co-author of over 77 papers and three US patents. Currently teaching
