Personal bio
I have had the pleasure of being an instructor for ME101 for over twenty years at Stanford. I graduated from Stanford in 1987 with a B.A. in Studio Art/Design and a B.S in Product Design,...followed a few years later with a M.S. in Product Design while working at Apple Computer developing Powerbook portable computers. Many years in the Bay Area with companies large and small, (Apple, Palm, Function Engineering, and various start ups), developing many successful high volume, mobile, consumer electronic products in Silicon Valley. I live on the Peninsula with my wife and two sons and relax by wrenching and racing cars when time permits. I am currently the Director of Engineering Programs at GoPro in Half Moon Bay, makers of the world most popular and versatile sports action camera. Many thanks to all the students who have made ME101 exciting and fun all these years! Keep designing and exploring to make the world a better place for everyone. Sincerely, David Northway Instructor ME101/Visual Thinking P.S. My email is "rugger" from playing Rugby back in the day at Stanford,...(scrum half and back)
