This three-unit course is designed to complement
History 3, which aims to provide the historical and geographical context necessary for understanding important global issues of the day. Students taking the three-unit course will, in addition to attending the weekly lectures, participate in a weekly seminar in which the same topics addressed in lecture will be examined in greater depth. Students will also be required to write a research paper on a generally neglected news topic of their own choosing.
