    Fall 2013 Highlights in Giving


    BOLDNESS OF VISION: Entrepreneur Jim Clark (right, with President John Hennessy) has pledged $60 million to Stanford. He made the announcement during an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the James H. Clark Center for Biomedical Engineering and Sciences and the achievements of Stanford Bio-X. "The research and technology that have been produced in the Clark Center over the past 10 years have exceeded my wildest expectations," said Clark, who was an electrical engineering professor at Stanford before founding Silicon Graphics and Netscape.     CUTTING THE RED RIBBON: The Arrillaga Outdoor Education and Recreation Center, which includes the 50-meter Avery Recreation Pool, opened to the Stanford community on November 1.     Fall 2013 Highlights in Giving


    MBA AND SLOAN CLASSES GIVE BACK: Upholding a Graduate School of Business (GSB) tradition, the graduating Class of 2013 joined together to "Give Something Back" to the school. MBA graduates raised more than $410,000 with 94 percent of the class participating, and Sloan fellows raised another $800,000 with 90 percent participation.
