Undergraduate Students: Applying for Visa Documents from Stanford

The Bechtel International Center issues the certificates of eligibility for both the F-1 and J-1 visa for new international Stanford undergraduates. These documents will be sent ONLY after full financial documentation has been received from the student by the International Center.

Information on this documentation is sent to students by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions upon their acceptance.

Please note that Certificates of Eligibility will be sent beginning in mid-May. Included with the Certificates is information on how to obtain your visa at a U.S. Consulate Overseas.

The visa document will be sent to the address you provide us on the Declaration of Finances form. If you have chosen to have your document sent by courier, please make sure this is an address to which a courier can deliver mail, and include a local (to you) phone number.

We will email you once we have mailed your document, and include the tracking number if your document is being sent by courier Please make sure you have provided a working email on your Declaration of Finances form.

Please note we cannot respond to routine status inquiries about whether we have received your materials, or when your document will be ready or mailed.
