125 Graphic Mark
The 125 Graphic Mark is the secondary and supporting identity mark for Stanford’s 125th anniversary.

125 Graphic Mark should always be reproduced at a size where they are clearly legible in the medium used. For print, it should never appear smaller than 1in wide. For web and digital use, it should never be smaller than 100px wide.

The minimum clear space ensures that no other elements infringe upon the 125 Graphic Mark, allowing it to be easily seen and quickly recognized. Whenever possible, allow more than this minimum clear space area to surround the 125 Graphic Mark.
Context
How and when to use the 125 Wordmark
Stanford Context
The 125 Graphic Mark is a secondary identifying mark for the 125th anniversary, and may be used to add 125th branding to an existing Stanford context.
Standalone marks
In order to be clear that the 125 Graphic Mark signifies the 125th anniversary of Stanford University, it should not be used in immediate proximity to unit, department or school branding. Place it only in immediate proximity to the Stanford mark.
Informal applications
The 125 Graphic Mark can be used in situations where the 125 Wordmark is too formal or will not fit space constraints.
The 125 Graphic Mark should not be used with the 125 Wordmark because they will compete with each other.
Color

The primary treatment is the positive mark. It is most effective when placed on a white, or light neutral background.
Cardinal Red: #8c1515
Black: #000000
White: #ffffff
If used against a dark background, use the negative treatment and only use against darker identity colors (like cardinal red or black).
Applications
Examples of what and what not to do
All the visual rules that apply to the Block S With Tree apply to the 125 Graphic Mark.
The 125 Graphic Mark should not be altered in any way, such as by extending or condensing the emblem, outlining or adding borders, adding drop shadows or other special effects, or extracting any details of the mark as a standalone symbol.
Use the negative treatment when needed. Do not reverse the colors of the positive treatment.
Do not extract the ribbon or 125 number mark from the Graphic Mark.
Do not remove the dates from the 125 Graphic Mark.
Do not use more than one 125 Graphic Mark.
Do not use with the 125 Wordmark - use in context of the 125 Stanford Wordmark.
Where it is adjacent to the Stanford Wordmark, use the 125 Wordmark instead of the 125 Graphic Mark.
Usage Exceptions
Exceptions can be made to the usage guidelines but they must be approved by University Communications.
