Sustainability and Energy Management

Stanford’s wastewater is collected in its sanitary sewer system and conveyed to and through Palo Alto sewer lines to Palo Alto’s treatment plant at the north side of the city. Stanford is a partner in the Palo Alto Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The sanitary sewer system is managed by the Civil Infrastructure Group within Utilities Services in the Sustainability and Energy Management Department.
