Art Daily reviewed the recently installed exhibition, on display through September 22, at the Cantor Arts Center of all twenty prints from Henri Matisse’s Jazz, “a much-celebrated portfolio of works characterized by brilliant colors, poetic texts and joyful circus and theater themes.” The copy on display was donated to Stanford by Sarah Stein, sister-in-law of writer Gertrude Stein, and is on loan from the Libraries’ Special Collections.
