The Council on East Asian Libraries, a branch of the Association for Asia Studies, recently announced that SUL was one of the two winners of this year's competition for Mellon Foundation's Innovation Grants for East Asian Librarians.

The awarded funds, totaling $39,650, will be used to support a web archiving project led by EAL and DLSS and named "Recording the Emerging Chinese Civil Society: Archiving Websites and Social Media of Chinese NGOs and Making Them Accessible." The full announcement can be found on the CEAL website.
