Karen Rondestvedt

Karen Rondestvedt, who retired as Slavic and East European Studies curator in March 2015, is now about to embark on her second retirement.

You may have seen her around the library this past 18 months as she continued to fulfill some of the curatorial responsibilities in the field and ably mentored the interim curator, Barbara Krupa. Her successor, Margarita Nafpakititis, counts herself fortunate to have benefited from Karen's guidance and expertise over the past few weeks as she has settled into her new position at SUL.

In her retirement, Karen plans to enjoy another year of life in California, and then will move back to Pittsburgh to join her husband, Matt. She has been a wonderful, thoughtful colleague, and an important member of SUL's curatorial team and its large Slavic community.

Congratulations, Karen!
