Therapy dog

Love Dogs? Need a study break? Join the Engineering Library for some pet therapy. We'll have several dogs for you to visit. In the event of rain, look for us under the covered walkway.

When: Thursday, March 10 and Monday, March 14 from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Where: Y2E2 Courtyard between Y2E2 and Huang Center

Mattie Taormina

Mattie Taormina, SUL’s long-time head of public services in Special Collections and, most recently, Librarian for Instruction and Outreach, is leaving SUL to pursue a great new stage in her career. Beginning March 2, 2016, Mattie will be the Director of the Sutro Library in San Francisco.

Emergency Exit

To help you prepare for possible building evacuations, SUL Facilities and our Emergency Preparedness team is offering tours of all of the emergency exits in each of our two main campus buildings, Green Library (both Bing Wing and Green East) and Lathrop Library. Each tour will not take more than one hour.

On Monday, March 7th, there will be a Fine Facsimile Open House with Giovanni Scorcioni, facsimile edition expert and founder of Facsimile Finder. The Open House will take place from 9:30 am-11:45 am in the Barchas Room of Special Collections in Green Library. From 9:40 am-10:00 am, Giovanni will present a new software he is developing with Western Michigan University to help libraries make their facsimile collections easily discoverable.
