Joshua Quan

Academic Technology Specialist, Institute for Research in the Social Sciences

Joshua provides research computing, sensitive and secure data support for the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS) and Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Research (CIDR). Joshua comes from a background in Cognitive Psychology and Information Science and has worked as a data librarian for UC Berkeley and Tufts University Libraries. Prior to his time as a data librarian, he worked in psychology labs at SUNY Albany exploring sensorimotor systems and visual attention. After graduate school, he worked as a data specialist at Duke University where he helped support the development of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs). Joshua is passionate about helping to advance innovative social science research using computational methods.
