Presenters: Maya Benbarak is a Manager of Pipeline & Portfolio Planning at Genentech; she has a PhD in Immunology from Stanford. Daniel Brickman is the Global Head of Oncology Pipeline & Portfolio Planning; he has an MA in Statistics and a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan.

You'll also have the opportunity to write your headline and summary, which are the most challenging parts of a profile. In addition, we'll touch on other social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, and ResearchGate.

Industry Insights: The American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellowship Opportunities

The AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellowship connects science with policy to foster a network of STEM leaders who understand government and policymaking and are prepared to develop and execute solutions to address societal challenges. Preparation & Practice: Biotechnology Business and Finance (SOMGEN 239)

Winter Quarter, Thursdays, 4:30pm - 6:20pm
LKSC 120

This course combines guest lectures with case study and hands-on projects to develop and hone the translational skills necessary for success in the biotechnology business and finance fields. Students will interface with alumni and other practitioners within a variety of roles to increase awareness of business terminology/theories and to develop a high-level understanding of the business of biotechnology: From intellectual property licensing, company founding and fundraising through corporate organization, market analysis, financial strategy, and product development/growth.

*Open to all Stanford PhD, MD, and Postdoctoral trainees. Once approved, you can register via AXESS; TGR students and postdocs will be required to pay $150, refundable after completing assignments and at least 8 of 10 classes.
