1.  You have two drugs A and B.  A is eliminated by zero order kinetics (rate constant k0) from blood, and B is eliminated by first order kinetics (rate constant k1) from blood.  The initial mass of B (micrograms) in blood is 2q and the initial mass of A (micrograms) in blood is q.

A.  Write the differential equation that governs drug A and its solution.  Show the compartmental representation.  Use the variables listed above.

B.  Write the differential equation that governs drug B and its solution.  Show the compartmental representation.  Use the variables listed above.

C.  What is the time at which 90% of drug A is gone from blood.

D.  What is the time at which 90% of drug B is gone from blood.

E.  At what time t will the two drugs have the same mass in blood.  Show the equations that solve for this.
