Stanford engineers' 'Law, Order & Algorithms' data project aims to identify bias in the criminal justice system

MS&E Assistant Professor Sharad Goel, along with visiting scholar Ravi Shroff and MS&E Graduate Students, Sam Corbett-Davis and Camelia Simoiu  use computational analysis tools to scrape information from police-related incidents to reveal discrimination and reduce crime.
