The inaugural One Bay Area Grant Program (OBAG 1) was adopted by MTC in 2012 to guide $827 million in federal funds over the five year period from 2012-13 through 2016-17.
OBAG 1 integrated the region’s federal transportation program with California’s climate laws and the Sustainable Communities Strategy, by targeting funding to Priority Development Areas (PDAs), Priority Conservation Areas (PCAs), and Climate Initiatives while maintaining commitments to existing transportation priorities.
