Stanford football has accepted an invitation to the Discover Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens, FL, on Jan. 3. The Cardinal, which had its best season ever at 11-1, will face Virginia Tech. Visit the Bowl Central website to learn more about the game and to buy fan travel packages.

"This plan would permit people to have protected time from the beginning to get their research going and to protect them from having to do that clinical work right at the get-go," Harry Greenberg, senior associate dean for research at the School of Medicine, told the Faculty Senate Dec. 2.

Beginning Jan. 1, eligible full-time employees will be able to use eight hours of accrued sick time per year to participate in the BeWell Employee Incentive Program. Part-time employees will be eligible for time based on their full-time equivalent status.
