FSI awards grants to six multidisciplinary research teams

The Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies awarded six seed grants in the first round of funding from the Global Underdevelopment Action Fund. Under the program, the multidisciplinary research teams will each receive $236,000.

Suvan Gerlach, Engineering School employee, dies

Suvan Gerlach

A memorial service will be held in January for Suvan Gerlach, who worked at the university for more than two decades, most recently as the administrative manager of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab. She died Nov. 24 from injuries suffered in a car accident on Nov. 5. She was 56.

What's new for the BeWell @ Stanford program for 2011?

With the new year come changes to the BeWell program designed to offer more choices. New features include financial incentives following the SHALA assessment, more options for how to move through the program and wellness coaching.
