Admit Weekend begins tomorrow for ProFros, families

Stanford will roll out the Cardinal carpet this weekend as about 1,300 high school seniors and their families get a firsthand look at what it would be like to be an undergraduate on The Farm. Admit Weekend, which begins Thursday, will include classes, discussions, concerts and more.

It took four collaborators and many years for W.S. Di Piero to translate Euripides’ play Ion from Greek. The English professor's labors come to life this weekend when his translation is performed in San Francisco as part of the American Conservatory Theater's Master of Fine Arts program.

• Faculty Senate discussion on ROTC: At its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, the Faculty Senate will discuss the report issued last week by the Ad Hoc Committee on ROTC and its recommendation that the university invite the Reserve Officers Training Corps program back to campus. While the Senate chambers are open only to members and invited guests, an audio feed has been set up in Cubberley Auditorium for others wishing to hear the discussion.
