Virtual Human Interaction Lab merges digital and real life

Understanding how to influence real-world changes by immersing people in virtual reality environments is at the heart of the work under way in the Virtual Human Interaction Lab. For instance, Stanford researchers have found that cutting down a virtual tree can lead people to use less paper.

Artist-in-residence Trimpin premieres Gurs Zyklus May 14

People have a hard time explaining Trimpin, who has been in residence at Stanford this year. Is he an artist? Inventor? Musician? Composer? Come see for yourself when he premieres Gurs Zyklus on May 14 in Memorial Auditorium in collaboration with director and vocalist Rinde Eckert.
