Steve Jobs' early career preserved in university's archives

The Stanford Silicon Valley Archives' Apple collection provides a window into the early career of Apple co-founder and outgoing CEO Steve Jobs. The collection comprises about 600 linear feet of documents, making it the largest assortment of Apple-related materials in the world.

Researchers offer plan for protecting marine mammals

Preserving just 4 percent of the ocean could protect crucial habitat for the vast majority of marine mammal species, according to researchers at Stanford and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Their findings are published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Pawn: The Musical completed its international summer tour Aug. 28 with a performance in New York City. Written, produced and performed by a group of Stanford students, Pawn is a folk-rock tale about Abraham Niu, a young Chinese Canadian soldier stationed in Afghanistan.
