A memorial service for Rune Nielsen, a visiting scholar from Denmark who died during winter break, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Church. A reception will follow at the Bechtel International Center. Nielsen, 25, died Dec. 18 in a single-car accident in Palo Alto.
