Reinterpreted Oedipus featured in Summer Theater

Matthew Moore, a doctoral candidate in drama, has drawn from collaborative work he’s done with faculty and students to produce an interpretation of the Greek tragedy Oedipus, the second production in the 2011 Stanford Summer Theater. It opens Thursday.

Visitors experience Stanford through summer conferences

Between spring quarter finals in June and New Student Orientation in September, Stanford plays host to dozens of camps, conferences and other events. This year there are some 250 such programs with 20,000 participants, including kids, teens, college students and adults.

  • Bank of the West: Traffic around the athletic facilities has been congested since Monday, when the Bank of the West Classic tennis tournament opened at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium. The tournament continues through July 31 and features some of the most prominent women's tennis players in the world, including Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova.
