Max Mathews, 'father of computer music' dies at 84

Max Mathews, professor emeritus of music at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA), died of pneumonia in San Francisco on April 21. Known as the "father of computer music," Mathews remained brilliantly inventive and innovative into his last days.

Judicial Affairs undergoes review of violations process

The Office of Judicial Affairs is conducting a broad review of the process through which alleged violations of the university's Fundamental Standard and Honor Code are resolved. Stanford Report talked to Rick Yuen, assistant dean of student affairs and judicial officer, about the process.
