Following on the momentum from new facilities and distinguished gifts, additional faculty members, graduate fellowships, and support for multidisciplinary teaching and research, the Arts Initiative looks forward to the next phase: Art 2016.

Teen scout soars to Eagle, defies sickle cell's limitations

River rafting, snowboarding and skiing are activities 14-year-old Rahm Humphries of Santa Clara now enjoys. He and his family learned to manage his sickle cell anemia with the support of a team at Packard Children's Hospital.

Campus mourns death of junior Cady Hine, 24

Cady Jeanne Hine, a junior at Stanford, died in Palo Alto while she was on spring break. Hine, who lived off campus, will be remembered for her commitment to helping improve the mental health of fellow students.
